The Cold War Era
The West Chester University Department of History is seeking paper proposals to explore the Cold War for a one-day conference, Tuesday, November 5, in conjunction with West Chester University’s Die Wende ("the change," referring to process of reunifying West and East Germany in the early 1990s) Film Festival, Wednesday, November 6.
This one-day conference will explore the issues surrounding life during the Cold War era. Possible topics include but are not limited to: Int’l Relationships, Leaders, The "Face" of the Cold War, Identity, Arms Race, Berlin as focal point, Space Race, Détente, Spying, Coping mechanisms, Propaganda, Berlin Wall
We welcome proposals from established academics, graduate students and independent scholars in the field. Please send a one-page abstract and short curriculum vitae to bgaydosh@wcupa.edu .
